KNV GO Green Salute goes
to...
Following our
Go Green Saturday on March 7th, one of our
inspired volunteers, Yvonne Van Grieken, did not stop
when the last bit of trash was hauled to shore. Yvonne was very bothered by the abandoned motor boat that had taken
up residence in various locations north of Kennedy Park. This eye sore would be effected by the tide and would be carried
up and down the river, landing on the east shore and then the west shore. Yvonne stepped up and personally financed
the dismanteling and removal of this over-sized trash. Kayak NV salutes Yvonne Van Grieken and thanks her on behalf
of the Napa Community. Note: Yvonne is pictured in the rear
seat in the picture below.

Comments from a participant:
I wanted to compliment Elizabeth
and Laurie at Kayak NV for the great community service they contributed by sponsoring the recent kayak event on Saturday,
March 7 to clean trash from the river. Thanks to the Napa Parks and Rec Department for supporting the effort also. Participants
were also treated to a very nice lunch by Compadres Rio Grill in support of the river cleanup effort. Compliments to
the Rio Grill also. This was a great example of how communities are supposed to work. Dean D-Alameda
