It wouldn't be summer if Kayak NV wasn't teamed up with the Blue Oak Camp. Two mornings of paddling: one day going north and one day going south. Lots of beauty to see all along the river...even a bald eagle! Well done everyone!
A hardy crew rolled up their sleeves once more and removed lots of "yucky" stuff from our Napa River! 12 hard workers (some not pictured below) pulled out 337 lbs of "stuff" from the river. The haul included 3 full backpacks, a pair of Birkenstocks (expensive shoes!) a sign, camping chair and even a large wooden cabinet that was dismantled by 3 of the team! We are waging a war of cigarette butts, so some time was focused on land, as well...collecting more than 50 of them. If we catch them on land, they won't end up in the river. Thanks to Rick Enos and Compadres Rio Grille for once again, generously hosting our after-party! Until July 11th... :)
Co-owners Elizabeth “Liza” Pearson and Laurie Aboudara-Robertson have combined their friendship and love of kayaking in their creation of Kayak Napa Valley. Launched in the Fall of 2007, Liza and Laurie continue to paddle with visitors and locals alike, sharing the beauty of the Napa Valley and their passion for kayaking and the outdoors. These are the stories of their adventures along the river.
